Team Nigma captain Kuro “KuroKy” Takshomi is still unable to play with his team in the upcoming third season of the OGA Dota PIT EU/CIS competition, which begins on September 23.

The three-time TI finalist has been sidelined due to an undisclosed injury, but is already undergoing treatment, the organization tweeted.

Nigma’s coach, Roman “rmN-” Paley will continue to be the stand-in for KuroKy as the team’s hard support player during the tournament, which includes top European teams Team Secret, OG, Alliance, and Team Liquid.

KuroKy had already missed two online events — season two of the OGA Dota PIT EU/CIS and the OMEGA League: EU Immortal Division. But Nigma has persevered, proving that they’re still a top contender in the most competitive region in the world even with their captain on the sidelines.

They previously defeated Alliance to win season two of OGA Dota PIT EU/CIS and most recently finished in third place in the OMEGA League: EU Immortal Division.

Nigma was given a top seed in the playoff bracket, and will go up against one of the closed qualifier teams in the first round of the tournament. Fans can watch the event on OGA Dota PIT’s Twitch channel here.
