According to Todd Howard, he made sure that showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy had a script that coexisted with the previous games.

“We view what’s happening in the show as canon,” he told Vanity Fair.

Connections between the video game series and the TV show are certainly apparent. The show is set in post-apocalyptic Los Angeles, a primary location in Fallout 1.

In the games, the city is now known as Boneyard, and is teeming with settlements, bandits, and irradiated animals that have mutated into monsters.

The Brotherhood of Steel, one of the most iconic factions in the franchise, also plays a major role in the show.

The first season of the Fallout show drops on April 11, 2024.
