Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 has a lot of daily and weekly challenges that can help players unlock several new weapons, camos and attachments in the game.
These are generally straightforward, but some of them require certain types of kills to ensure the challenges are completed. One of the types of kills you may have to get are Burst Kills, which are quite unusual when hearing for the first time.
In this guide, we’ll explain what they are and how to get burst kills in Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer.

How to get Burst Kills in MW3 easily
Burst kills can be done with weapons that have the three-round burst firing mode. It essentially means these fire 3 rounds at a single time. These are extremely powerful weapons and with your preferred attachments, they can be made even more powerful.
Getting burst kills will be very easy if these are modded properly. Currently, the following weapons have three-round burst fire modes:
- Lachmann Sub
- Lachmann Shroud
- M16
- Renetti
- FR 5.56
- DG-58
You’ll need to switch the firing more to three rounds for this as the default firing mode may be different. To do that, press the left D-pad in consoles or B when using a keyboard.
Weapons with burst-fire mode are generally tricky to use, so make sure to pick out your preferred one by testing them in the firing range. Using automatic weapons and firing them in short intervals do not count as bursts.
To rack up a lot of burst kills, playing the 6v6 modes is always the good choice. Team Deathmatch, Free For All, Hardpoint, and Control are good choices for stacking up a good amount of operator burst kills. Additionally, you can also choose the 247 playlists like Rustment to get these types of kills much quicker.
That is everything you need to know about getting Burst Kills in Modern Warfare 3.
