TSM brings the best of both worlds with its cross-esports matchmaking videos.

In the latest episode of TSM’s Civil War series, TSM brought its entire Valorant squad onto the Summoner’s Rift and had them go against three members of TSM’s pro LoL roster, namely Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon, Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage, and Lawrence “Lost” Hui.

Team LoL played the game out fairly safe. Lacking a support player and a jungler, ADC player Lost hugged his turret for the experience lead while POE and Huni focused on pushing out their lanes.

For the side of team Valorant, Stephen “reltuC” Cutler and Matthew “Wardell” Yu were the most familiar with the MOBA. Wardell’s Jhin was an aggressive poke machine and even tried for a flashy turret dive, only to find out that Lost equipped Heal instead of Teleport.

As for reltuC, the Nunu player knew his way around jungling and frequently went for ganks in every lane. He even managed to catch POE in a killer Absolute Zero.

Having some previous knowledge of the game before the massive 10.23 patch update, James “hazed” Cobb instinctively warded his top bush even though team LoL had no one jungling, but struggled to understand the skills of Huni’s Samira.

Despite the minor fumbles, reltuC and his squad excelled in catching out overextending players. Hazed came through with his Irelia and pulled off a clean double kill on Huni and led an ace in the mid lane.

Team LoL eventually struck back by breaking two mid towers and an inhibitor by the 18th minute. Looking to even things out, Yassine “Subroza” Taoufik and his Lux immediately rallied his team for a Baron invasion after respawn, but was shocked to see that the Rift Herald was still in the pit. For those who don’t know, Baron Nashor spawns for the first time at 20 minutes.

Making their way back to base after Herald, POE and Lost caught them at the gates of their base and executed a solid wombo-combo of Petrifying Gaze and Bullet Time. With Lost’s MF picking up the triple kill, POE’s Cassiopeia chased down Wardell for the double kill and closed out the game in 20 minutes.

While team Valorant took a hard-fought loss, it was entertaining to see how passionate they were about the League show match.

Wardell was acting like a run-of-the-mill ADC player, always demanding too much from Taylor “drone” Johnson’s Malphite, while the rest of team Valorant were arguing about who had the most frags.
