Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League for Singapore and Malaysia is the latest esports league to be affected by the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.

Citing concerns over the safety of players, staff, and fans, Moonton announced on its Facebook page that MPL SG/MY will go on hiatus indefinitely

In order to curb the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, Malaysia has put in place restrictions on nationwide movements from today until March 31. Malaysian citizens are not allowed to travel abroad, and tourists and visitors are banned from entering.

The lock down includes a ban on mass gatherings and events, and the closure of all government and private premises except essential services.

MPL SG/MY concluded week three over the weekend, and is midway through the season. Geek Fam currently tops the table with a perfect 5-0 record.

At present, there are more than 600 reported cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infections in Malaysia.
