Afreeca Freecs had an amazing series against Griffin in the opening week of League of Legends Champions Korea.

In a tight second game with a small 2,000 gold advantage, Afreeca turned around an initially outnumbered clash at the 30-minute mark.

Griffin’s Son “Ucal” Woo-hyeon initiated the melee with a Call of the Forge God ult, but only managed to hit one of Afreeca’s members. Meanwhile, Jungler Lee “Tarzan” Seung-yong flanked two Afreeca’s members while Choi “Sword” Sung-won solo-killed Lee “Spirit” Da-yoon.

With only Jin “Mystic” Seong-jun and Song “Fly” Yong-jun left alive for Afreeca, the two somehow turned the tables on Griffin.

First, Fly sniped Ucal with a laser while Mystic pushed the attack to the rest of Griffin. Tarzan and Sword attempted to attack Mystic, but the Ashe player picked up an incredible double-kill against them.

Griffin’s Park “Viper” Do-hyeon managed to take down Fly, but Mystic was able to clean up the rest of Griffin with a few auto-attacks.

With the game-changing ace, Afreeca Freecs seized momentum in the game and came out victorious over Griffin with a 2-0 standing.
