Worlds 2021 is currently live on patch 11.19, and some of these changes in League of Legends patch 11.20 will address the meta.

It’s also time to gear up for Halloween, for the new champions joining the Bewitching skin line — Syndra, Yuumi, Poppy, Nami, and Fiora — will also be released in this patch.

Amumu nerfs on League of Legends patch 11.20

Q – Bandage Toss

  • Damage decreased from 70/100/130/160/190 (+85% AP) to 70/95/120/145/170 (+85% AP)
  • Mana cost increased from 30/35/40/45/50 to 70

Support Amumu is a meta pick at Worlds 2021, paired alongside Miss Fortune. Absent for many years, he jumped back into the meta after a mini rework by Riot in patch 11.17, which gave him two charges of Bandage Toss (Q) with a three second cooldown in between casts.

In this patch, Riot nerfed the base damage of Q, and increased its mana cost to 70 at all ranks, which effectively pushes Amumu back to the jungle and out of bot lane. 70 mana for each Bandage Toss is simply too hefty a price for a support.

It was fun (or sad?) while it lasted.

Imperial Mandate buffs on League of Legends patch 11.20 indirectly buffs Lucian-Nami at bot

  • Initial hit bonus damage increased from 36-60 (based on level) to 45-75 (based on level)

Lucian and Nami took over bot lane in League of Legends patch 11.17 after both of these champions got buffed. Allies are now able to buff Lucian’s Lightslinger passive to deal extra damage, which works wonders with Nami’s kit.

Imperial Mandate is an item that only selective supports buy, such as Maokai, and you guessed it, Nami. Riot Games explained that they’re buffing this item because “it hasn’t been a strong choice for most enchanter supports and bot lane mages”.

However in doing so, the already overpowered Lucian-Nami bot lane only becomes that much stronger.

Riot, what have you done?
