League of Legends team FlyQuest has unveiled its latest visual rebrand ahead of the 2021 LCS Summer Split.

Changes to the FlyQuest logo

The LCS team takes on a more refreshing minimalist design that aligns with their recent Go Green initiative and company-wide philosophy: To Showcase Greatness.

Artist Clara Nguyen explained what the new logo design was all about.

“The typeface League Spartan is customized with rounded edges to reflect a sense of boldness, adventure, and welcomeness,” said Nguyen. “The leaf drawn within the negative space of the ‘Q’ in Quest paired with an emerald green symbolizes the organization’s many environmental campaigns.”

The new leaf logo celebrates the team’s competitive history by using the classic ‘Q’ design from the previous logo.

Moving forward, FlyQuest’s primary team colors are now white and emerald green. The org changed the shade of green to have a more vibrant and inviting look. The colors also keep ties to FLY’s Midwestern family, the Milwaukee Bucks, which use similar colors.

Tricia Sugita explains the history behind the rebrand

FlyQuest CEO Tricia Sugita expounded on the journey to becoming a team that does its best on and off the Summoner’s Rift.

Upon joining the org in 2018, Tricia Sugita sought to make FlyQuest a worthwhile brand for fans. Though the org struggled to find its true nature at the beginning, the Go Green initiative was a step in the right direction.

“We’ve put in a lot of effort in raising awareness for the environment and applying real action to help the planet in its time and need,” said Tricia. “Today, I’m excited to announce that we’re updating our visual identity to reinforce the direction for our future.”
