The League of Legends Champions Korea returns with 2021 LCK Summer Week 2.

Afreeca Freecs, Gen.G, and Nongshim RedForce currently lead the LCK with 2-0 records, leaving the rest of the league to potentially spoil their perfect records this coming week.

Here are three must-watch matches taking place in 2021 LCK Summer Week 2.

June 16 – KT Rolster vs Gen.G

The first day of 2021 LCK Summer Week 2 has KT Rolster going up against top guns Gen.G.

While many might assume that Gen.G can claim this series with ease, KT Rolster could pull off an unexpected upset. The team recently swept DWG KIA with incredible performances from mid laner Kim “Dove” Jae-yeon and AD carry Oh “Noah” Hyeon-taek.

If Gen.G is ready to continue their perfect record, we’re looking at Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong to take Dove down and prove that he is the true king of the mid lane.

June 17 – DWG KIA vs Afreeca Freecs

DWG KIA faces an interesting match-up against Afreeca Freecs in 2021 LCK Summer Week 2.

The 2021 LCK Spring champions are carrying a 1-1 record after a surprising loss against KT Rolster. If they’re looking to keep afloat in the current leaderboard, we’d like to see a more dominating appearance from AD carry Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun.

On the other side, this is the perfect time for Afreeca Freecs to solidify their spot in the top 3. They might not be the most decorated squad out there, but if AF can rally around top laner Kim “Kiin” Gi-in and AD carry Han “Leo” Gyeo-re, we may see another upset heading the way of DWG KIA.

June 18 – Hanwha Life Esports vs Liiv SANDBOX

Hanwha Life Esports enters a do-or-die series against Liiv SANDBOX in 2021 LCK Summer Week 2.

Both teams are sporting win-less records (0-2) so this match could determine which squad will be stuck in last place heading into Week 3.

HLE looks to be the stronger group with its super duo of Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon and Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu. With their last two match-ups being T1 and Gen.G, this could be Hanwha’s big break to turn the season around and steadily climb the standings.
