Electronic Arts recently announced a new expansion pack for The Sims 4 titled “Eco Lifestyle,” in which players focus on creating an eco-friendly neighborhood. Eco Lifestyle will be the ninth expansion pack after Discover University.

In the teaser video, Sims users find themselves back in the new location of Evergreen Harbor, where, for the first time, players’ actions will have a direct impact on the environment.

Players will be able to refurbish their households to be more environmentally friendly, adding wind turbines and solar panels. On top of that, you can work with your neighborhood to make new spaces such as community gardens for alternative food sources and shared workspaces for sustainable inventions.

While the video didn’t specify if this would affect bills and jobs, The Sims has always gone above and beyond in terms of mirroring reality in their expansion packs and games.

Alternatively, players can also reject the Eco Lifestyle perspective and pollute the new neighborhood to their heart’s content, but they should be prepared to live with the consequences of their actions.

The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle expansion pack will be out on June 5.
