Bleach is a popular anime series based on a manga of the same name by Tite Kubo.

The Bleach manga began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2001 and ran until 2016, spanning 74 volumes. The anime adaptation, produced by Studio Pierrot, aired from 2004 to 2012 with 366 episodes.

The story follows Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager with the unusual ability to see ghosts. His life takes a dramatic turn when he encounters Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper — a guardian of the afterlife tasked with defeating malevolent spirits called Hollows and guiding deceased souls to the afterlife.

During a battle with a Hollow, Rukia is severely injured and transfers her powers to Ichigo, making him a substitute Soul Reaper.

Now, Ichigo is thrust into the world of Soul Reapers, protecting humans from Hollows and helping spirits find peace.
