Nintendo has just released Jump Rope Challenge, a Switch game to help players keep fit during the quarantine season.

Jump Rope Challenge transforms your Nintendo Switch console into an exercise accessory. It is similar to Ring Fit Adventure, but smaller and simpler in scale.

To play the game, players will need to detach their Switch’s Joy-Controllers and hold the two controllers like jump rope handles. With an adorable brown rabbit as your avatar, it will jump whenever you jump and keep track of how many you’ve done.

Jump Rope Challenge will automatically set the goal to 100 jumps a day, but players can tweak the number as they see fit.

There’s also a two player mode where jumps made will be recorded twice.

Created by Nintendo’s developers in Japan, the company’s employees were advised to work from home after Prime Minister Shinzo Abe declared a state of emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The game was intended to “add quick and fun physical movement into their daily life” while at home.

Jump Rope Challenge is available for free on the Nintendo eShop.
