In terms of the beta, players will be able to adventure up until level 25 where they will be capped. This is to make sure there’s still fun to be had and experiences to be made once the game launches. Not to mention, a bit of a stress test for the developers to solve any bugs in the early game.

The first Diablo 4 beta ran from March 17 to 19 and fans can preload the game now via the Battle Net client.

At launch, the official max level is 100 according to an interview from Blizzard with GameSpot from June 2022. Players will need to achieve it via The Paragon Board which will become available once level 50 is reached.

According to Diablo 4 director Joe Shely, “when you finish the campaign, you might be level 45 or something. Your character level goes up to a hundred through Paragon points. And you get access to whispers, you get access to Nightmare dungeons, other endgame activities that we’re still working on.”

The Paragon Board will open up many more customization options for each class. That means you will definitely want to continue through to as close to level 100 as you can get even after you’ve finished the main campaign and achieved level 50.

Higher levels means being able to access even more content and do endgame activities you otherwise may not have been able to handle. Diablo 4 is planning on having tons of new systems, so be prepared to learn when you return to Sanctuary!
