G2’s Oscar “Mixwell” Cañellas Colocho found himself in an unusual position last week when he went head-to-head with G2 CEO, Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez, who was playing for Team Draken, in the final of G2’s Valorant Invitational tournament.

However, Mixwell did not appear to have any second thoughts about killing his boss in-game as he carried Team Mixwell to 13-7 and 13-1 victories.

Mixwell was head and shoulders above the competition and looked especially dominant in game two, which he finished with an insane 30/4/2 KDA.

He also landed the highlight of the tournament with an insane Operator Ace in Round 11.

Dominican Republic player, Yoryi “DR Mandrake” Bueno, has become the second player to qualify for the Capcom Cup 2020.

DR Mandrake won the CPT Online: North America East Qualifier after a series of controversies led to tournament favorite and reigning Capcom Cup champ, Derek “iDom” Ruffin, forfeiting his semifinal match and dropping out of the tournament.

iDom was set to play against Metro M in the loser’s semifinal match, however, due to Metro M’s poor connection and Capcom’s decision to remove The Grid as the chosen stage for online matches, iDom instead forfeited, stating “I’m not playing Metro M. I feel sorry for whoever has to qualify like this.”

DR Mandrake would go on to defeat Metro M 3-1 in the grand final.

Cloud9 remains perfect in the LCS

After dominating the Spring Split, reigning LCS champions Cloud9 have continued their winning ways, opening the Summer season with two undefeated weeks and a 4-0 record.

In Week 1, Cloud9 defeated FlyQuest and 100 Thieves, and in Week 2 they took down Golden Guardians, and Evil Geniuses, who were expected to be one of their closest competitors this season.

However, it took Cloud9 just 25 minutes to defeat Evil Geniuses, finishing the game with a lopsided 16-3 kill score.

Robert “Blaber” Huang was the MVP of the match, picking up a triple kill in the top lane just ten minutes in that gave Cloud9 the opening they needed to snowball the rest of the match. Blaber finished with a 9/1/5 KDA.

Pokémon MOBA announced for iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch

The Pokémon Company has unveiled Pokémon Unite, a 5v5 MOBA developed by The Pokémon Company and Tencent.

The 5v5 game will use a point-scoring system with points gained by gaining control over a capturable area, similar to League of Legends Dominion game mode.

So far, ten Pokémon have been announced for the game, including favorites like Pikachu, Charizard, and Blastoise.

While a release date has yet to be announced, the game has been confirmed to launch on Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch.
