To craft the best vehicles in Sand Land, you’ll need to know how to get the workshop back up and running first.
Vehicles are essential for survival. The vast, sandy terrain makes them the only way to efficiently travel across the desert.
They also serve as your primary weapons in the game’s combat, offering various types of vehicles for different battle situations.
Here’s a quick guide on how to get the workshop working in Spino so you can start pumping out top tier vehicles.
How to get the workshop in Sand Land
The workshop is unlocked via a quest from Mayor Tor, the quest itself is called “Tinkerer Twins”.
Before heading over to Talbo, you’ll need a tidy sum of four Puraptor scales to complete the questline.
These scales only drop from white Puraptors so don’t bother with the red Raptors in the starting zones.
White Puraptors are scarce in the early game and are only found in a hidden area called the Puraptor Nest marked by a four-pointed star which is southeast of Aro Village Ruins.
They become much more common the further you have progressed the main story.
Deep within the nest lies a single Puraptor. Eliminating it should net you the scales needed to complete the quest.
Once you have the scales, head on over to Talbo and speak to the tinkerer siblings.
You’ll be given the choice to bring only one of them to Spino, both perform the same in your workshop so pick whoever you want.
How does the workshop work?
The workshop is mandatory to craft high tier materials which the best parts in the game need.
After you’ve unlocked the workshop in Spino, talk to the material crafter whom you invited. To get higher tier material, you’ll need to trade multiple lower tier materials to forge the material of your choosing.
Ranging from scrap that you can find laying around to certain monster parts, make sure you’re looting stuff off the ground whilst on your adventures, so you have items on hand to trade in when you need to craft something.
The workshop can be upgraded yet again via quests which become available as you progress the main story. If you can’t make something that should in theory, be available at the workshop, push on with the main story quests until the workshop has a quest for you.
