Epic Games just outdid themselves with Travis Scott’s Fortnite concert, which debuted the artist’s new track entitled The Scotts. The event was a genuine spectacle — filled with amazing visuals and excellent use of Fortnite Chapter 2’s new features.

Once the concert’s countdown timer hit zero, a small planetoid filled with amusement park attractions fell from the sky and came hurtling towards the stage. As the massive floating orb reached the concert stage, Scott’s gigantic form materialized, kicking off a series of the rapper’s best-known hits.

The in-game event lasted for ten minutes. Each time a new track played, the Fortnite island’s visuals changed and different game physics were applied to match the visual spectacle.

Popular Fortnite personalities like Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Turner “Tfue” Tenney, Jack “CouRage” Dunlop, and Benjamin “DrLupo” Lupo streamed the entire event and had a great time watching the Fortnite concert.

Fortnite’s Astronomical concert recorded over 12.3 million concurrent views, marking a new milestone and an all-time record for the popular video game.

Scott also expressed his excitement and appreciation to all the fans who participated in the event.

Here’s the entire concert, as seen through the eyes of YouTuber OrangeGuy:

The in-game concert tour is scheduled to play until April 26. As the world continues to struggle with the COVID-19 pandemic, these high-energy events present a welcome distraction for those who are still stuck at home.
