Vici Gaming’s new roster for the upcoming 2019-2020 DPC season will include Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan, who was previously the captain of Team Serenity.

Pyw will replace Vici Gaming’s former team captain, Pan “Fade” Yi, who has been in the Dota 2 spotlight lately. Fade announced his retirement from the competitive scene a few days after The International 2019 (TI9), but he signed with Team Aster a week later in a surprise move.

Pyw was one of the members of Team Serenity that made it to the International 2017 (TI7). He also led the team for the past two years playing position-3 (offlane). With Vici Gaming, however, Pyw will be playing the position-4 (support) role.

Another change worth mentioning is that the team’s position-1 (carry), Zhang Chengjun, has decided to change his in-game ID from “Paparazi灬” to “Eurus.”

Vici Gaming’s 2019-2020 DPC roster:

  • (1) Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun
  • (2) Zeng “Ori” Jiaoyang
  • (3) Zhou “Yang” Haiyang
  • (4) Xiong “Pyw”‘ Jiahan
  • (5) Ding “Dy” Cong
  • (Coach) Bai “rOtK” Fan

Vici Gaming was the best Dota 2 team from the Chinese region during the 2018-2019 DPC season, finishing third in the rankings behind Team Secret and Virtus Pro. With only one roster change made by Vici Gaming during the post-TI9 roster shuffle, it’s safe to say they are still a top contender for any upcoming Valve event.

Vici Gaming will next participate in the highly anticipated Midas Mode 2.0 event, which is happening from September 24 to October 2.
