Vici Gaming eliminated fellow Chinese squad, EHOME, in quick and devastating fashion on day three of the WeSave! Charity Play tournament.
Both games ended in under 30 minutes with Vici Gaming outplaying and out-strategizing EHOME.
Vici Gaming employed an unorthodox safe lane Mars pickup for Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun. The team then decided to go with Medusa on Zeng “Ori” Jiaoyang, who would be VG’s primary damage dealer.
With Ori’s Medusa taking the top spot in both the net worth chart and overall hero experience, EHOME lacked the necessary damage to halt VG’s timing pushes.
EHOME found some success with Zhang “Faith_bian” Ruida’s Enigma who landed a clutch three-man Black Hole on VG’s backline support heroes.
But EHOME’s troubles continued with Eurus’ Mars and Zhou “Yang” Hiyang’s Pangolier acting as Ori’s defenders by using their ultimates to lock down the Radiant heroes.

In the following game, VG out drafted their opponents by picking hyper-aggressive heroes with the Dark Seer and the Spirit Breaker. EHOME’s support lineup of Snapfire and Dark Willow became easy targets for the Radiant squad.
Along with the Dark Seeker and the Spirit Breaker, VG drafted a Void Spirit for Eurus. VG constantly ran at EHOME’s heroes. At first, EHOME was able to counter the strategy by having Faith_Bian’s Timbersaw tanking VG’s attacks.
But VG’s non-stop aggression was too much for EHOME to handle after the Radiant team decided to target more vulnerable targets.
With a surged up Troll Warlord, VG constantly jumped on EHOME’s heroes and forced them to retreat back into their Dire Fountain.
The strategy was reminiscent of OG’s Alchemist-Dark Seek strategy during the Upper Bracket Final of The International 2019. VG ended game two at the 25-minute mark with Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan’s Spirit Breaker racking up 22 assists.
Vici Gaming have now advanced to the Final of the WeSave! Charity Play tournament where they are set to face PSG.LGD in a best-of-five series.
