TNC Predator carry player Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte opened the first game of their opening series of the Leipzig Major Group Stage against Nigma Esports with a bang, landing multiple big Chronospheres with Faceless Void to win crucial teamfights in the game.

The first of Gabbi’s huge Chronospheres was at a teamfight in the middle lane at the 12-minute mark. Nigma were looking to go on the offensive after killing TNC offlaner Damien “kpii” Chok’s Timbersaw, but Gabbi caught four of their heroes with his ultimate that led to his team getting four kills and control of the game.

Gabbi also showed that you don’t always have to catch multiple heroes to have a good Chronosphere, as he caught and killed Nigma carry Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi to open up their base.

Gabbi’s final Chronosphere was also the nail in the coffin, as he caught three Nigma heroes to force them to call GG.

Despite Gabbi’s impressive showing in game one, Nigma ended up winning the series on the back off a dominant performance by Aliwi “w33” Omar on Outworld Devourer.

TNC will be looking to keep their hopes of an Upper Bracket berth at the Main Event alive when they face off against the loser of the match between Fnatic and Team Aster in Day 2 of the Group Stage.
