The final match of the day turned out to be a silver lining for European squad Chaos Esports Club as they claimed their first victory in The International 2019 group stage.

Alliance found it almost impossible to take down Chaos’ Cheng “vtFaded” Jia Hao’s farmed Spectre despite vtFaded having almost no health left. He was able to dodge all of the static remnants left by Alliance’s Maximilian “qojqva” Bröcker’s Storm Spirit with just a sliver of health.

Chaos managed to claw back their early game gold deficit against Alliance and turn the game around in their favor.

However, momentum started to shift in Alliance’s favor during the mid-game of the second game as they took down three Chaos members in a 4v4 fight.

Once Chaos’ Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann’s Mars and Lasse “Matumbaman” Urpalainen’s Dragon Knight went down, the Radiant side decided to call “gg”.

Alliance split the series with a win in game two.
