It doesn’t pay to make racist remarks, even in the heat of the moment.

As a result, OG’s Sébastien “Ceb” Debs has been fined a month’s worth of salary for racist and derogatory statements against Russians made by the French player, and will be donating his earnings from the Epicenter Major to a charity of his choice, said OG in an official statement.

The Dota 2 professional team’s statement also added that Ceb would gaurantee that a similar situation would not occur again “on pain of a stronger punishment”.

“The bigger picture however remains. Setting an example is important, but we believe that we should take the opportunity to try and evolve as a community,” read the statement.

OG will also be working with Russian squad Virtus Pro on something to “better the environment”.
