With the DPL-CDA Professional League Season 1 in its final week of competition, EHOME proved itself to be the best team in the tournament by defeating Chinese giants, Vici Gaming, with a 2-1 final score.

EHOME’s perfect 8-0 standing also guarantees them a first-place finish in the round-robin league. EHOME were awarded their eighth win of the tournament after Newbee was disqualified due to match-fixing.

The DPL-CDA Pro League follows a point format that awards teams one point after each series win. The tournament has a total of 10 teams and each team will have a total of nine best-of-three matches.

EHOME was on a six-game undefeated streak with wins over Royal Never Give Up, PSG.LGD, and Invictus Gaming going into their match against Vici Gaming.

With the series tied 1-1, EHOME surprised VG with a last pick Broodmother for Zhang “Faith_bian” Ruida. EHOME decided to move Faith_bian from the offlane to the middle lane to counter Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun’s Terrorblade. And, the former TI6 champion showed he had the skills to dominate VG’s hard carry player in the middle lane.

Faith_bian cut off all farming paths by playing aggressive and placing his Spin Web charges in the Dire neutral camps.

Meanwhile, Liu “Sylar” Jiajun’s Lycan took control of the bottom lane after he reached level 6. EHOME used Sylar’s Shapeshift ultimate with Zhang “y`” Yiping’s Ink Swell ability to force VG into bad positions.

With most of the map dominated by Faith_bian’s Broodmother, VG struggled to find farm on their core heroes. The situation only got worse for VG after Faith_bian secured his Aghanim’s Scepter which granted Faith_bian 10 more Spin Web charges which he placed inside the Dire side of the map.

VG attempted to gain back some map control after going for a smoke gank in the Dire jungle. But, EHOME quickly eliminated the Dire heroes with VG struggling to position themselves properly because they were too worried about Zhao “XinQ” Zixing’s Echoslam ultimate.

With their first place in the round-robin standings, EHOME will take home US$26,300 (CYN¥187,500) in prize money.
