CIS superteam Just Error has kept their tournament hopes alive with a much-needed group stage win against Alliance at the EPIC League.

Going into Week 3 of the group stage, both Just Error and Alliance were badly in need of wins, as both teams were at the bottom of the standings. Prior to their match, Just Error had a 1-5 record, while Alliance had a 1-4 record.

But in an exciting Game 1 match, Just Error finally put together an expectedly impressive performance, which their Dota 2 fans had been waiting for from the moment when the team was announced.

After losing their midlane set of Barracks and falling 9,000-gold behind Alliance, Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko pulled off a game-altering Black Hole that caught three enemy heroes. Roman “Ramzes666” Kushnarev even landed a clutch Infest save on Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan that earned Just Error a teamwipe.

In the following team fight outside the Radiant base, Bakyt “Zayac” Emilzhanov contributed a team fight winning blink into War Stomp combo, which set up another amazing Black Hole from No[o]ne.

Just Error would then take control for the remainder of the game, after Alliance’s core heroes were unable to match up against Ramzes in the final clashes.

After losing to Alliance in Game 2, Just Error decided to go with an excellent hero draft, which allowed the team to take early game fights with Alexey “Solo” Berezin’s Undying and SumaiL’s midlane Tiny. Meanwhile, No[o]ne’s offlane Magnus helped accelerate Ramzes’ Anti-Mage farm which resulted in a 20-minute Eye of Skadi.

Just Error took complete control of Game 3 where they even began taunting and trolling one another during team fights against Alliance.

With Just Error’s 2-1 win, they are now in eighth place of the standings. Meanwhile, Alliance is at 10th place, which is the bottom of the leaderboard. Just Error, Alliance, and Team Liquid are all in dire straits and need to turn things around, as the two bottom teams in the standings will be eliminated from the tournament after the group stage.
