Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 has been met with tons of positive feedback as well as some criticism across all of its content ranging from the Armory Unlock, to the prestige system, and more.

One particular piece has the fans talking, though, and that’s the MW3 Experimental Playlist.

This playlist currently features a range of maps in addition to a 24/7 Terminal option and the MW2 Mosh Pit.

One other major piece is that “all Operators have a colored outline to distinguish them from the environment,” according to a post from Sledgehammer Games on X.

The developers will be sending out a survey with which they’ll be seeking feedback on the MW3 Experimental Playlist features and changes as a method of deciding what to send to the live playlists or what to scrap.

In a lot of ways, this is similar to running a Playtest Realm (PTR), which is common in many other games. This allows for bug testing, feature testing, and the ability to get real feedback at scale.

Either way, this is a big step in making sure any large changes can get feedback from the player base first, rather than after it’s already hit the live servers.
