Call of Duty‘s newest battle royale title, Warzone 2.0, has added a new way to detect your opponents on the battlefield.

Infinity Ward has implemented a new interrogation mechanic that allows Operators to interact with downed enemies for some extra information on their fellow squad members.

Here’s a quick guide on interrogation and how to utilize it in Warzone 2.0.

What is interrogation in Warzone 2.0?

Interrogation is a new mechanic in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 that grants you information on an enemy squad. Upon completing the interrogation, enemy squad members will pop up as red markers on the map, similar to when they are pinged by a UAV. Detected squad members will also be highlighted through walls and structures.

Since players often use the Ghost perk to avoid detection by UAVs, Heartbeat Sensors, and Portable Radars, the interrogation mechanic is a quick way to counter that and discover the location of an enemy squad.

But if you’re the unfortunate one being interrogated, you will have the option to alert your squad about it.

How to interrogate enemies in the game

Here’s a quick step-to-step guide on interrogating enemies:

  1. Down an enemy.
  2. Stand on top of them so the Interrogate prompt appears.
  3. Hold the interact button (Press F for PC).
  4. An “Enemy Squad Marked” message will pop up once the interrogation is complete.

Do note that interrogations take around seven seconds to complete, so make sure you have a friend on the lookout for any approaching Operators.

It is a high risk, high reward play. If you’ve downed someone, it’s likely that his teammates are close by.
