Ambush is an essential skill to unlock since it allows you to stealthily execute enemies from behind. Since enemies are not level-gated, you can use Ambush to take down any big or small enemy from behind.

It’s a skill that’s incredibly useful throughout the campaign, but especially early on as you don’t have access to many hard-hitting special abilities.

Beta Skills are the first set of special abilities you have access to in Stellar Blade. They deal a ton of damage but require Beta Energy to activate.

Since you will be relying on Ambush for stealthily taking down enemies, Beta Energy Theft is a great skill to have since it recharges Beta Skill on successful Ambush attacks.

Rush is great for closing enemy distance, and you may want to get Infinite Rush since it increases the distance you can cover and the attack power of the Rush strike.

Likewise, we recommend unlocking Rush Chain since it deals a whirlwind of a combo attack that doesn’t require much input but deals massive damage.

Parrying is incredibly important to master in Stellar Blade. However, it can take a while to get used to, especially early on, as you learn to balance executing combo attacks and deflecting enemy attacks.

Hence, we recommend unlocking the Focus Boost skill since it makes it easier to perform a perfect parry that unbalances the enemy.

Likewise, you may want to unlock the Beta Energy Recharge II since it increases the Beta Energy you can recover with perfect parries. Additional notes on how to proceed with the Beta skills:

While all four Beta skills are unique and powerful abilities, we recommend focusing on one of them first and unlocking all their abilities in their sub-skill tree.

For instance, if you decide to unlock Triplet, it’s best to unlock all its subsequent skills that boost Triplet’s efficiency first instead of a second Beta skill.

These are some of the best skills in Stellar Blade to use in the early game.
