After two days of intense Group Stage action in the Southeast Asia Closed Qualifier for the LA Major, Filipino squads Cignal Ultra and Lowkey Esports found themselves tied in fourth/fifth place in Group B.

Both teams were forced to face each other in a best-of-one tiebreaker match. Unfortunately, during the game, Lowkey Esports’ entire squad disconnected.

Lowkey Esports were ahead by 10,000 gold when they were all dropped from the game. According to the casters, the admin allowed Cignal Ultra to unpause because Lowkey Esports couldn’t rejoin the game.

Cignal Ultra then pushed straight towards the Dire base and ended the match at exactly the 30-minute mark.

This isn’t the first time Cignal Ultra has been involved in a controversial qualifying game involving a disconnect.

At the SEA Closed Qualifiers for the Leipzig Major, it was Cignal Ultra who lost their chance to participate in the Major after suffering internet issues of their own. At the time, they were up against TNC Predator during the final game of the match.
