The best teams in the Pacific region are poised to battle it out, each vying for a chance to edge closer to securing their spot in Valorant Champions 2024.

In the spotlight for the VCT Pacific Stage 1 2024 tournament are Gen.G Esports and Paper Rex, two formidable Pacific teams that left a mark at Masters Madrid.

Gen.G Esports secured the runner-up position in a thrilling showdown, ultimately conceding to Sentinels with a close 3-2 defeat in the grand final.

Meanwhile, Paper Rex claimed third. They ultimately fell short to Sentinels in a 3-1 defeat in the lower bracket final.

Paper Rex made headlines before the VCT Pacific Stage 1 2024 with the return of Wang “Jinggg” Jie to the active roster, prompting Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha to step back to the team’s bench.

As these two powerhouse teams prepare for their next clash, they will showcase their dominance while other Pacific League teams aim to prove their mettle.

What is VCT Pacific Stage 1 2024

VCT Pacific Stage 1 2024 decides which teams from the region compete in the second international LAN of the 2024 season.

The top three teams at the end of this tournament will represent the Pacific region in Masters Shanghai.

The group stage of VCT Pacific Stage 1 2024 features two single round-robin groups: Alpha with 5 teams and Omega with 6 teams.

Teams were drawn randomly from pots based on their performance in the VCT Pacific 2024 Kickoff event.

Pot 1 included the top 2 teams that also competed at Masters Madrid. The kickoff winner was placed in Group Alpha, and the runner-up was placed in Group Omega.

Pot 2 consisted of playoff semifinalists, Pot 3 had teams that advanced to the play-in, and Pot 4 included teams eliminated in the group stage but did not finish last in their groups. 

During the group stage, teams play cross-group matches, with all matches being best of three. The top three teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, with the winners receiving a bye into the upper bracket semifinals.

The second and third-place teams from each group advance to the knockout round.
