Tekken 7 pro player Kim “CherryBerryMango” Jae-hyun recently announced that he is now a proud member of Korean esports team Afreeca Freecs.

Along with the team signing, CBM will now be an exclusive streamer on the organization’s streaming platform, AfreecaTV, bolstering his efforts in social media content.

“I am very happy to join the Afreeca Freecs,” said CBM in an official press release. “I want to actively communicate with users and fans by showing various fighting game contents through AfreecaTV.”

Afreeca Freecs will be CBM’s first team since his troublesome experience with Illusion Esports. Though the Illusion sponsorship started off great with REV Major in September 2019, the esports org kept delaying CBM’s reimbursements for his tournament expenses. With the org owing him a total amount of US$2,912, CBM left the org for good in February 2020 and posted about his experience on Twitter.

CBM joins Afreeca Freecs as one of Korea’s best players in the fighting game. Easily ranked amongst the likes of Yoon “LowHigh” Sun-woong and Bae “Knee” Jae-min, the Jin specialist won the OSL Futures and grabbed third place in EVO Japan 2019. As the newest Afreeca Freec, we’ll likely see CBM become an even more prominent Tekken 7 player this year.
