Japanese gaming company Topanga has announced its newly formed esports team GyoGun and unveiled the all Japanese roster via Twitter.

GyoGun’s esports roster:

GyoGun directly translates to “school of fish” in English and the team’s concept is to “mature the entire esports industry, create jobs, and foster young talent.”

Mago will be GyoGun’s team leader and help its younger players mature and develop their skills. Mago has been an esports professional since 2011 and is considered one of the best Street Fighter players from Japan.

Topanga has hosted multiple esports tournaments in Japan. They’ve also worked with OPENREC.tv, a streaming platform where fans can watch Japanese pro’s play live.

The OPENREC Studio is where Japanese Japanese Street Fighter legends like Kenryo “Mago” Hayashi, Hajime “Tokido” Taniguchi”, Tsunehiro “Gachikun” Kanamori, and Masato “Bonchan” Takahashi get together to break down the latest news regarding Street Fighter V.
