The good

Some players were quick to praise Capcom for the update.

Played SFV netcode patch for 6 hours
Only had 1 bad connection (PC, super low latency connection, 1gb ftth)

But when you read twitter some people are saying Capcom didnt do anything

I don't buy it, not sure how it was on PS4/subpar connection, but its a step in right direction.

Gotta say, this impression was from watching expert players play with the post patch. It wasn't looking good and seemed the same issues as before were still prevalent. But after playing tonight, the majority of my matches ran quite well. That hasn't happened in years for me.

If Capcom has really reached the technological peak of their netcode, a focus on improved matchmaking, a better system for predicting connection quality, and maybe just an old school region filter would improve the experience.@SFVServer

The netcode patch shows that Capcom has implemented similar changes to Reddit user Altimor’s custom patch.

Altimor was the programmer who released a custom PC mod netcode patch that pushed Street Fighter V producer Yoshinori Ono to improve the game’s online features.
