ONIC Esports nearly delivered a perfect showing throughout the five-day tournament. On June 20, ONIC went 4-0 in two best-of-3 series against the Burmese Ghouls (Myanmar) and WAWA Gaming (Laos).

Two days later, ONIC Esports breezed past Thailand’s IDNS in their Upper Bracket playoff matchup, also with a 2-0 result.

ONIC Esports and Louvre Esports faced off earlier in the day in the Upper Bracket Final to determine which team will be first to claim a Grand Final berth.

Louvre Esports raced to a resounding win in the first match, but ONIC Esports regrouped, turning the tables against their fellow Indonesians to win the match, 2-1.

With the loss, Louvre Esports had to claw their way back to the Grand Final. They did so with a win in the Lower Bracket Final stage. Louvre faced off against the Philippines’ ArkAngel, which defeated the upstart Overclockers (Vietnam), 2-1, in their earlier matchup. Against ArkAngel, Louvre went 2-0.

The tournament victory earned ONIC Esports a total of US$68,102 out of the US$120,000 prize pool. Team member Sasa won US$1,000 of his own for claiming tournament MVP honors.
