While it may look like a card game like Riot Games’s Legends of Runeterra or Blizzard Entertainment’s Hearthstone, upcoming mobile game Marvel Duel is actually an auto battler.

Marvel Duel is developed by NetEase, which also created the Marvel-themed MOBA Marvel Super War. It makes use of about 150 superheroes and villains from the Marvel Comics universe, including fan-favorites like Iron Man and Thanos.

Die-hard fans will also be delighted to know that all types of Iron Man’s armor (like Prime and Extremis) are included in the game, as well as the various Spider-Men hailing from different universes.

All these characters come in card form in the game, but the strategy and positioning that players must consider is what makes Marvel Duel lean closer to the auto chess category, according to an early take by Pocket Gamer.

The game will wrap up its closed beta testing phase soon and will launch on July 31. It will only be available in Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Malaysia.

Android and iOS users can pre-register to earn bonus rewards before the game’s full release.
