European esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) might be making a comeback in the professional League of Legends scene soon.
Chief Operating Officer Jonas Gundersen expressed the company’s interest in returning to competitive LoL on Twitter, adding that he is on the hunt for a head coach.
While NiP is better known today for their Counter-Strike and Dota 2 rosters, the organization have already taken two shots at League of Legends glory.
The first attempt happened in 2013 with the following players, acquired from the Denmark-based Copenhagen Wolves:
- Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg
- Martin “Deficio” Lynge
- Kasper “TheTess” Poulsen
- Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen
- Dan “Godbro” Van Vo
This squad only lasted a year, however.
NiP made another attempt at fielding a competitive LoL roster in 2017, but that team also fell short of expectations and disbanded after a year.
