Two power generators caught fire outside the League of Legends’ Mid-Season Invitational 2019 event venue at the Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium earlier this morning.

Oil was seen spilling from the leaking generators onto the streets as well, reported local media. Thankfully, the blaze, which started at 2 a.m. on May 15 was contained by firefighters and no injuries were reported.

The schedule for MSI 2019 remains unchanged, and fans will be able to watch the top four teams in the world battle it out to take home a share of the US$1 million prize pool.

A Riot spokesperson also confirmed to ONE Esports that two generators had caught fire but “it was a distance away, and did not affect the stadium and no one [was] hurt”.

The Mid-Season Invitational 2019 takes place on May 17-19, with defending World’s champion set to face against North American hope Team Liquid in the first best-of-five series Taipei.
