Victoria “Vicksy” Doman has partnered up with UK Organisation Excel Esports to create the next all-female League of Legends team.

The news comes as the organization hosted a media tour for its new headquarters and training facility in Twickenham Stadium at southwest London, reported Esports News UK.

This is not the first time that Excel has provided women with a voice in competitive gaming. In 2017, their “xL” all-female team won the FemaleLegends tournament at Dreamhack. Renate “Rencha” Rinita of xL even said that “[their win] is only the first step” for women in competitive gaming. Vicksy was also the mid-laner in the championship team.

Excel Managing Director Kieran Holmes-Darby has nothing but positive words for the partnership, stating that Vicksy’s values very much aligned with the organization.

Holmes-Darby added that Excel hopes to not only “inspire” the female scene, but the next generation of gamers in the UK as well. Other plans also include inviting UK streamers to its HQ “if it benefits them”.

As of now, Excel is focused on League of Legends as their primary esports venture, but could expand to other games in the future.
