The 2019 League of Legends World Championship Finals is happening tomorrow and here’s everything you need to know about the thrilling conclusion to the 2019 League season.

The Worlds 2019 Finals will be a best-of-5 game series between Chinese team FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) and G2 Esports from Europe.

Both teams showed excellent form in their tournament runs, destroying their competition with similar 3-1 standings in the semi-finals. FPX went up against the likes of Fnatic and defending champs Invictus Gaming, while G2 overcame LoL superstar Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and SK Telecom T1.

With both teams being so good at the game, it’s hard to tell who’s going to dominate the series for the Summoner’s Cup.

FunPlus Phoenix

Hailing from China’s League of Legends Pro League (LPL), FPX brings a deadly duo in Kim “Doinb” Tae-sang and Gao “Tian” Tian-Liang. With their incredible map movement and in-game knowledge, they’re able to gank efficiently and, with the rest of the team, initiate perfectly-timed clashes in any location and at any period in the game.

With such peak performance, FPX is not fazed by the impressive performance that G2 has had in Worlds 2019 to date. This squad oozes confidence. They even have the trash-talk to keep things interesting, with Doinb stating that G2 only won against SKT because of “luck.”

G2 Esports

Doinb’s taunting aside, G2 still stands as the strongest team Europe has ever produced. As the first LEC team to reach the Worlds finals, the lords of Europe have demonstrated impeccable defense and comeback-clashes.

In the semi-finals, G2 faced an SKT squad that always stayed ahead in kills and gold-income, but Rasmus “Caps” Winther’s amazing pushes using Ryze kept G2 strong in map dominance, leaving their inhibitor line untouched.

Lukas “Perkz” Perković takes charge as the consistent damage-dealer in team fights. Even though he stepped down as mid-laner for Caps, the Croatian player still does a fantastic job as G2’s kill-confirm ADC.

Even though the odds seem to be stacked against G2 on paper, the underdog team of Europe has always had the mental fortitude to defeat anyone that comes in their way.

The 2019 League of Legends World Championship Final happens on November 10 in Paris, France. You can watch the official stream on Riot Games’ Twitch channel starting 8 p.m. (GMT+8).
