Superstar ADC, Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, is reportedly heading back to Team SoloMid for the 2020 LCS Summer Split, according to ESPN’s Jacob Wolf.

Doublelift’s return to his former team comes after a two and a half-year stint with Team Liquid.

While Liquid received various offers from other teams in the league, Doublelift reportedly chose TSM as his preferred transfer location.

With the transfer, Doublelift will team up once again with familiar faces Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg and Vincent “Biofrost” Wang. The three played alongside each other during their LCS championship runs in 2016 and 2017.

Doublelift’s career in Team Liquid started well, with the superstar ADC able to achieve four back-to-back LCS championships in just two years. However, despite their efforts to bring in new blood with Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen for a better Worlds turnout, the team performed poorly throughout the 2020 Spring Split and DoubleLift was benched mid-season due to a lack of motivation.

Doublelift’s return to TSM leaves the fate of their current ADC, Kasper “Kobbe” Kobberup,” up in the air. With many LCS teams having no roster space for international players and mid-season schedule changes due to COVID-19, the Danish ADC is in a difficult situation for the Summer Split.

Both teams declined to comment about the transfer.
