The League of Legends Championship Series continues with 2021 LCS Summer Week 3.

2021 LCS Spring champions Cloud9 currently lead the league with a 17-7 record. With both 100 Thieves and TSM tied in second place, the two teams have a chance of overtaking the top squad this week.

The second day of 2021 LCS Summer Week 3 has Counter Logic Gaming going up against Evil Geniuses.

While the two aren’t head-to-head in the standings, CLG could use this match to push the mid-table team down to the bottom half of the leaderboard.

With only one win this Summer so far, we’re looking forward to see CLG AD carry Jason “WildTurtle” Tran flex his veteran presence over EG’s young star Kyle “Danny” Sakamaki.

June 21 – Team Liquid vs 100 Thieves

Team Liquid is looking to enter the LCS top 3 with their match against 100 Thieves.

This series will essentially test which organization has the better superteam. Team Liquid is currently going through growing pains after academy player Thomas “Jenkins” Tran replaced EU import Barney “Alphari” Morris in the top lane.

On the side of 100 Thieves, the addition of Felix “Abbedagge” Braun turned the squad into an unstoppable force. Cumulating a five-game win streak in the past two weeks, we’re ready to see how the fresh mid laner fares against TL’s Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen.

June 21 – TSM vs Cloud9

A classic NA showdown, TSM will play the last match of 2021 LCS Summer Week 3 by facing off against league leaders Cloud9.

This is the perfect opportunity for TSM to close in on C9’s current lead. Even though the team experienced an unexpected loss against FlyQuest in Week 2, Lawrence “Lost” Hui and the squad closed out the week with a win over CLG.

The main matchups to watch out for in this series are in mid and bot lane. Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage will have to find ways to deny Luka “Perkz” Perković from getting ahead. If PowerOfEvil sticks to reliable control mages like Orianna, Perkz might have a hard time pressuring him into any kind of skirmish.

Meanwhile, Lost and Hu “SwordArt’ Shuo-Chieh will be sizing up Calvin “k1ng” Truong to see if he can live up to the hype as C9’s newest AD carry.
