Along with new nature-loving fawn champion Lillia, League of Legends patch 10.15 will introduce the new Spirit Blossom skin line.

The line features five champions, Teemo, Thresh, Vayne, Yasuo, and Lillia in a surreal forest setting.

These champions embody the magical characters in tales told during Spirit Blossom festivals held in the region of Ionia.

But which skin is best? Here’s what we think.

5. Spirit Blossom Vayne

The Night Hunter, Vayne, looks relentless in her Spirit Blossom form. She emits a vile vibe while carrying her glowing crossbow.

Casting her abilities leaves a burst of blue butterflies, which goes well with the blue flames that surround her. These could be likened to the Japanese folklore’s Hitodama or spirit orbs. The enemy marker on her ultimate ability Final Hour reminds us of the writing on Ryze’s magic spells.

Spirit Blossom Vayne costs 1350 RP.

4. Spirit Blossom Teemo

With his big fluffy tail and straw hat, Teemo’s appearance might have been based on the tanuki or the Japanese raccoon dog. Spirit Blossom Teemo carries a flute, and the glowing leaf on his hat grows big and transforms into a magic carpet which brings him to the fountain when he performs a recall.

Teemo’s shrooms called Noxius Traps briefly form a cute and ghostly face when detonated.

Additionally, a Prestige Edition of this skin is available which presents Teemo in white and gold colors.

3. Spirit Blossom Lillia

League of Legends’ newest champion also gets her first skin on the same day as her reveal. Although Spirit Blossom Lillia might look gorgeous with blue and purple tones, we somehow feel like this should have been her default look to help differentiate her from Neeko’s colors.

Her particle effects involves a mix of scattered petals and dark blue orbs which looks like a nature version of the Dark Star skin line.

Lillia also leaves a trail of blue fireflies when she moves, giving her an overall ethereal vibe.

This upcoming Lillia skin is priced at 1350 RP.

2. Spirit Blossom Yasuo

Out of all the champions on this list, The Unforgiven swordsman Yasuo fits the Spirit Blossom theme the most. He looks like a calm and collected ronin in his splash art, sporting a blue kimono with a stylish pink flower headpiece that matches his white hair.

He summons a fuschia pink tree in his recall animation, which totally reminds us of Japan’s cherry blossom trees.

Yasuo’s right arm comes in a glowing light blue color, which comes out as a beautiful fusion of pink and blue hues when casting his abilities. His Wind Wall is also quite a sight to see, displaying a holographic moving scene of bonsais and traditional patterns during its duration.

What’s more, dealing critical strikes to an enemy shows a nice touch of a Sakura flower for a fleeting moment.

1. Spirit Blossom Thresh

The Chain Warden Thresh might have been classified as undead, but he looks charmingly alive (and ready to take your soul) in his Legendary Spirit Blossom skin.

While we may have already seen his regular human version in Riot’s League of Legends: Realms of Runeterra book, his Spirit Blossom skin is on a whole new level.

Thresh is wearing a traditional hakama with giant ropes as an obi sash. The middle of his obi looks like a modified version of the traditional oni (demonic creature) mask. His soul lantern has been transformed into a strange, purple head-familiar tied with a string of ofuda (paper charms). Overall, Thresh looks like a human Yokai, and reminds us of anime character Inuyasha.

His champion dance features a lo-fi beat that plays in the background while his lantern does all the dancing. He also leaves traces of lovely white blossoms upon casting his abilities.

Spirit Blossom Thresh starts out in his purple demon form, and later on transforms into his human form once the player collects 45 souls and uses his ultimate ability The Box.

This skin is on the Legendary tier and is available for 1820 RP.
