Singapore-based esports organization EVOS Esports has a strong presence in Southeast Asia, and had recently stepped up to contribute to COVID-19 relief efforts through multiple charity drives across the region.

EVOS has donated more than 50,000 masks and surgical gloves to hospitals in Indonesia and Thailand to date. Over the last few months, their athletes have also devoted their time to support various initiatives in their respective countries.

Taking a hands on approach, EVOS Realm of Valor (Arena of Valor) Thai team, with mobile gaming professional esports athlete Sandee, personally cooked and delivered 3,000 packed meals to local communities living in slums.

They also encouraged the esports community to donate to local hospitals in Thailand, and gave out EVOS jerseys to the fans who contributed.

In Indonesia, EVOS organized charity showmatches featuring their Indonesia and Singapore Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams, successfully raising almost 100,000,000 IDR (US$7,090) for charities that support front line workers.

The EVOS MLBB also team also took part in show matches in the Play Apart Together Singapore campaign with other esports organisations, streamers and influencers.



Organized by Zenway Productions in partnership with the Community Chest Singapore, they collectively raised a total of S$6,340 (US$4,500) that will be donated to the Home Nursing Foundation, Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics, and Community Chest that look after front line and migrant workers in Singapore.

Elsewhere in Vietnam and Malaysia, their League of Legends team and PUBG mobile team joined hands with other streamers to support COVID-19 relief campaigns.

The ‘Give With Ikhlas’ charity initiative – by Ikhlas.com, with the cooperation of the Yayasan Amanah Assofwah Almalikiyyah – raised over 1,000,000 RM (US$23,500) for underprivileged families, refugees and non-profit organisations that run soup kitchens and orphanages.
