Japan’s national broadcasting organization, NHK, recently held a survey to determine the best Final Fantasy game.

The poll ran for one month and 30 days, starting from late December to early February on the NHK website.

After tallying the 468,654 votes, Japanese fans voted PlayStation 2 entry, Final Fantasy X, as their favorite.

The 2001 title follows the adventures of Tidus around the world of Spira. A Nintendo Switch version of the game was released just last year.

Here’s the complete top ten:

  1. Final Fantasy X
  2. Final Fantasy VII
  3. Final Fantasy VI
  4. Final Fantasy IX
  5. Final Fantasy XIV
  6. Final Fantasy V
  7. Final Fantasy VIII
  8. Final Fantasy IV
  9. Final Fantasy XI
  10. Final Fantasy XV

The poll also asked fans to vote for their favorite character, summon, and piece of music.

Cloud from Final Fantasy VII was voted Japan’s favorite character, with Yuna from Final Fantasy X coming in second, and Aerith from Final Fantasy VII coming in third.

Meanwhile, the Knights of Round from VII was voted the best summon, and To Zanarkand from X was voted the best piece of music.
