Activision has announced that classic skateboard simulator, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater is making a come back.

Both Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 will be remade, with the iconic and nostalgic games given a full-blown graphic overhaul, brand-new online multiplayer features, and the return of their classic soundtracks.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 was revealed at Summer Game Fest’s first live stream. After the game was announced, host Jeff Keighley was joined by the legendary pro skater himself, Tony Hawk, and Vicarious Visions’ Studio Head, Jennifer Oneal, to talk about how the 20th anniversary of the Pro Skater series pushed Activision to remaster the first two iconic games.

Vicarious Visions is best known for developing the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy back in 2017. And since Neversoft — the studio that originally developed the game back in 1999 — is no longer around, Activision decided to go with Vicarious Visions for another remastered project.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 will be sold as a two-in-one package, with every classic location and legendary skaters making a return in complete 4K graphics. The game’s original soundtrack will also be included, and the game will be available on September 4, 2020. Fans who pre-order a digital copy will be given early access to The Warehouse Demo.

Meanwhile, the Summer Game Fest has also announced they have something big in store for tomorrow’s broadcast.
