FFXIV mounts are ground/air vehicles that let you travel faster in-game. The critically-acclaimed MMO offers a fun variety of mounts, from the iconic Chocobo to giant mechanical claws and rare four-seaters.

But the rarest mounts in FFXIV come from the game’s limited-time events. Making the most out of FFXIV’s events can land you some pretty cool items that others won’t be able to get for years.

How to get Yokai watch mount FFXIV medals

Participate in limited-time FATES – or random open-world events – for a chance to acquire “Yokai Minion Medals”.

Handing these over to the Wandering Executive in the Golden Saucer lets you summon the Yokai as minions. And getting Silver or Gold in a FATE while fighting alongside Yokai minions occasionally rewards “Legendary Yokai Medals”.

These rare rewards are exchanged for Yokai Weapons, powerful class-specific gear that are exclusive to the event.
