Red Bull esports has signed Evo Japan and Evo 2019 champion, Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddique, its first Pakistani Tekken player.

The announcement was made by Arslan himself, who thanked Red Bull for “giving him wings.” He will now continue the season with two co-sponsors, Red Bull and vSlash Esports.

Arslan joins Hoa “Anakin” Luu and Kana “Tanukana” Tani as Red Bull’s top Tekken 7 players.

“His story and the story of Pakistan Tekken has been one of the best stories to come out of the gaming scene. And one of the things Red Bull does best is help tell these stories to the world. I think it’s a perfect combination,” Anakin told ONE Esports.

Red Bull also sponsors Street Fighter V Evo 2019 champion Masato “Bonchan” Takahashi and the legendary Daigo Umehara.

The big signing should let Arslan compete more frequently overseas, with Red Bull providing financial and logistical support for Arslan’s future tournament runs.
