Singaporean squad Reality Rift (RR) has announced that they have parted ways with Indonesian carry player Andrew “Drew” Halim, who will become a free agent on August 1.

The announcement comes shortly after RR crashed out of the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League in 9th place.

The team were on track to at least make the Playoffs until the last day of the Group Stage, when they tied with Team Adroit in their last match then to them in a tiebreaker to stay in the league.

Drew has been with RR since last November, when he replaced fellow Indonesian carry Lukman Yusoff “Luk” Bin Nooraznan, who left the team due to personal reasons.

“We had some great games and worse ones together [with Drew], spent hundreds of hours training, went out for dinner and stayed at team house to play something that’s not Dota. And this was a great time. Thank you for being a part of Reality Rift and sharing your experience with us,” RR said in a statement.

“These past 9 months have been full of ups and downs. Change is clearly inevitable and I want to thank Reality Rift and the players for this experience,” said Drew.

RR has yet to announce who will replace Drew in the lineup, though they are set to compete in the OMEGA League Asia Division next month.
