Team Secret midlaner Michal “Nisha” Jankowski had another excellent showing as he led his team to victory in their Upper Bracket Finals match against Virtus.pro (VP) at WePlay! Tug of War: Mad Moon.

Looking to bounce back after losing game one of the series, VP took control of game two early. Zaur “Cooman” Shakhmurzaev on Phantom Assassin and Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko on Shadow Fiend dominated the fights for VP, keeping Secret on the back foot.

VP looked poised to grab a commanding lead after taking down two of Secret’s cores, including Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen’s carry Juggernaut, at the 26-minute mark. While Secret appeared to have lost the fight already, Nisha led his remaining teammates in wiping out the entire VP squad. Bagging an Ultra Kill in the clash, Secret seized momentum in the game back.

Nisha’s heroics gave MATUMBAMAN’s Juggernaut the space he needed to become a secondary damage threat. Secret’s core duo then led their team in methodically picking away at VP and eventually securing Mega Creeps after 41 minutes.

Nisha drove the dagger into VP at the deciding fight at the 43-minute mark, as he racked up another Ultra Kill to force the GG call from their opponents. Secret’s star midlaner finished with an excellent 16-3-5 KDA.

With their win, Secret lock up the first spot in the Grand Finals. They await the winners of the Lower Bracket Finals match between VP and Nigma Esports to see who they will face for the tournament’s US$130,000 grand prize.
