There’s a new SEA stack in town.

Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng and Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross have decided to partner up and will now be part of a new Dota 2 stack called SEAMonkeys.

Both MidOne and ninjaboogie left their Dota 2 organizations — Team Secret and Mineski — after The International 2019, and decided to take a break from competing.

However, right after the MDL Chengdu Major, both players announced their return on a posting on MidOne’s Facebook page stating that they’re now registered for the next DPC Major/Minor qualifiers (DreamLeague Season 13/WePlay! Bukovel Minor).

The rest of SEAMonkey’s lineup consists of lesser-known Malaysian players. Nicholas “Zeal” Lim and Lim “Chidori~” Jai He were both part of a regional T2 team, Dota Hero. Zeal is a Position 3 offlaner, while Chidori~ plays the Position 2 midlaner. Ooi “KennyO” Yew Kah is an unknown player, but is expected to play the Position 4 support role.

According to MidOne’s post, SEAMonkey’s roster is as follows:

  • (1) Lim “Chidori~” Jai He
  • (2) Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng
  • (3) Nicholas “zeal” Lim Eng Han
  • (4) Ooi “KennyO” Yew Kah
  • (5) Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross

The SEA region is already stacked with well-established Dota 2 teams like TNC Predator, who is at the top of the DPC rankings after their MDL Chengdu Major win, as well as other notable SEA teams such as Fnatic, Mineski and GeekFam.

It will be interesting to see how MidOne and ninjaboogie matchup against the rest of the SEA teams during the upcoming DPC Major/Minor qualifiers set to take place on December 1-6.
