Fnatic, Geek Fam, and Adroit have made it through the Southeast Asian closed qualifiers and are now bound for ESL One Los Angeles 2020.

The tournament is set to take place on March 15-22, where 16 teams will be competing for a US$1 million prize pool and 15,000 Dota Pro Circuit points.

Fnatic was the first team to punch their ticket to the LA Major. They dominated Day 1 of the SEA closed qualifier by going undefeated with wins over Lowkey Esports and Cignal Ultra. The team then tied with Geek Fam and BOOM Esports in the following day to take the second-place spot in Group B.

Fnatic won their Playoffs semifinals match against Team Adroit due to unfortunate circumstances when the Filipino squad had internet issues in their boot camp facility.

Geek Fam was the next team to secure their spot. Geek Fam won the most games in Group B and defeated teams like Cignal Ultra, BOOM Esports, and Lowkey Esports.

Geek Fam then outplayed IO Dota 2 during their Playoffs semifinals match. The Filipino squad beat Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung’s new SEA team 2-0.

Adroit was the final team from the SEA region to earn a spot in the LA Major. They finished in first place in Group A with wins over Neon Esports, Reality Rift, and TNC Predator.

After conceding to Fnatic during their Playoffs semifinals match due to internet issues, Team Adroit bounced back and demolished IO Dota 2 with two convincing wins.

Surprisingly, TNC Predator didn’t make the cut for the third Major of the season. The Chengdu Major champions tied with almost all their opponents in the Group Stage and lost two games to Adroit. TNC still sits on top of the DPC rankings with 5,300 points.

Meanwhile, both Geek Fam and Adroit look to secure some of their own DPC points in their first-ever DPC Major appearances.
