Gambit Esports midlaner Danil “gpk” Skutin has become the third player to join Dota 2’s illustrious 11,000 matchmaking points (MMR) club.

While gpk was able to quietly reach that lofty goal, Gambit made a celebratory post on their official Twitter account to make their midlaner’s achievement known.

Gpk joins Evil Geniuses (EG) midlaner Abed Azel “Abed” Yusop and former Fnatic carry player Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon in the exclusive 11K MMR club. Abed notably founded the club back in May, with 23savage following in his footsteps last month.

Gpk is also the first member of the 11K MMR club to come from outside Southeast Asia, as both Abed and 23savage played exclusively in the infamously volatile SEA server to garner the highest MMR yet known.

Gpk is currently being loaned by Gambit to EG to fill in for Abed at the OMEGA League European Immortal Division. Abed has been unable to leave his home country of the Philippines to rejoin EG due to the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

Gambit said in a statement that the move was a “mutual agreement” and that gpk will “greatly benefit from this experience.”

Gpk will be the second player that Gambit has loaned to another team, as team captain and position 5 support player Artiom “fng” Barshack was loaned to Alliance back in May.

With gpk and fng loaned to other teams, only carry player Kiyalbek “dream” Tayirov and Danial “XSvamp1Re” Alibaev remain on Gambit’s roster. The team has not competed in any tournaments since they bottomed out at ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Online EU/CIS league back in May.
